When i traveled to Punta Cana last spring i stayed in the Barcelo Punta Cana which was the most amazing experiences i have had in a resort to this day. The staff at the resort played cards such as the bartender card, the maid card, the bellboy card, and various other talk cards. Speaking to them i played my guest card as i was staying in their resort for the time being. When speaking with them there was very little formality or power, it was mainly friendliness and liking. They were always pleasant to speak to as well as eager to help. I even become close with some of them changing our talk cards to friend talk cards. This made the trip even more relaxing and wonderful. The resort managers showed power while also remaining very friendly and helpful as there were constantly problems arising from spring breakers. Overall i would rate the staff a 10/10 as well as the service. I would certainly go back as a loyal customer and guest to this resort.

For my English class i was assigned to interview someone in my desired major. I chose to interview MSU doctorate student Mrs. Valerie Good for this project. I started off by sending a very formal email politely and professionally asking for a brief 20 minute interview with her. I was playing the student talk card as she was playing the professional talk card. This was not a teacher student basis and i had never met Mrs. Good so i was somewhat stumped on how to speak or what style to use. I started the interview being extremely formal but quickly the style changed and became more friendly. She was a huge help answering all of my questions to the fullest extent. She displayed power but also showed friendliness right front the start of the interview. In her explanations she gave me real life scenarios in which she played the mom card, the employee card, the manager card, the entrepreneur card, and the student card. Meanwhile i listened and recorded her answers playing the student card as well as the interviewer card. Overall this interview was a great learning experience and i was thankful that she took the time to sit down and answer my questions.
About two weeks ago my mom and cousin Brittany came to visit me here at MSU. After catching up we decided to go to outback steakhouse for dinner where we had an encounter with a lovely waiter. We first played the customer card as we walked in the restaurant as the hostess formally sat us at our table. Then, the waiter greeted us showing very much liking and friendliness. He was playing the waiter card and we reciprocally played the customer cards. After getting us our drinks he politely asked if we were ready to order, and as we were we proceeded to do so. When he brought us our food out he asked if everything was alright, which in fact, it was not. My mothers steak was under cooked so as a customer she politely asked for the situation to be addressed. The waiter handled this very well, apologizing a few times although it was not his fault and took the whole meal back to the kitchen. Not too long after the manager came by with a new steak and side dish and asserted the leader card and spoke with power as he was in charge of this situation. Overall we all enjoyed the experience at this steakhouse and the service was amazing. I would certainly go back.
