The author of this article is Chris Widener. The title is 10 Things I Wish I Would Have Known Before I Went Into The Real World. This article is about 10 different things you learn when you grow up. You learn that life isn’t fair, people play favorites, people let you down, not everybody wants to grow personality, the stock market goes down sometimes, the older you get the harder it is to lose weight, marriage is work, it takes longer to get out of debt than it does to get in it, it doesn’t work to try to please others, and you need to tend to your spiritual, emotional and physical health or you will crash hard. I think I will end up learning some of these the hard way. Editorial Personal opinion and connection. I haven’t experienced most of these because I’m not an adult yet. But the one I have a connection to the most is “it doesn’t work to try to please others.” No matter how hard you try or how nice of a person you are, not everyone will like you. Some people are judgmental and have certain reasons not to like you then there are people who don’t like you just because they don’t feel like it. But I think its fine to be not liked by some people because you have good friends who care about you so you don’t need those mean people who don’t. You just can’t please everybody but that’s okay. Outside Connection Lady Gaga could take several lessons away from this article. I don’t know much about the stock market. But I know my dad does. He’s always talking about the stock market and stuff to deal with that. My dad’s always watching shows on the stock market and he trades stocks on his laptop. He tries telling me about them but I never have any clue what on earth he is talking about. Sometimes I sit down with him and watch the shows he watches. But it’s really hard to watch something you don’t understand, he will end up teaching me about them. Keywords (Define/Need two) Use dictionary from external links on Blackboard.
